For the past nine years Verisec has delivered products for large scale deployment within large retail banks, corporations and government to protect digital identities and payment transactions. Our products protect against security threats and identity fraud and include critical building blocks for securing networks, applications and transactions.
Verisec offers three product lines:
- Strong authentication: Providing strong identities in the digital world.
- Key Management: Key management solution for banks and payment processors.
- Hardware encryption: Infrastructure for key generation, secure storage, network and transaction security.
Strong Authentication
Authentication is really all about confirming the identity of a user to a system. In many cases today, authentication is synonymous with a fixed password that may change from time to time. Such authentication suffers from many known vulnerabilities, phishing being the best known. Another drawback of password based authentication, are the hidden running costs of password resets due to the fact that users are password fatigued. Strong authentication systems are designed to bolster the quality of identity claim verification.
Key Management
Cryptographic keys play a central part in securing ATM and POS transactions as well as in online payments and Internet banking. Chiave is a new end-to-end key management solution with the ability to keep track of all the policies governing the generation, storage and ceremonies associated with cryptographic keys.
Hnossa is a key and certification appliance that simplifies mass generation of private keys and certificates based on a public key infrastructure (PKI).
Hardware Encryption
Verisec is a distributor for Thales hardware encryption devices including the nChipher product range. Thales’s HSM technology protects ATM, POS, Corporate Banking, card issuing, funds transfer and share dealing technology worldwide. It has already been adopted by every major card scheme and is currently protecting 70 percent of the world's card transactions.
