PIN Mailer Service
Verisec offers PIN mailers as part of a complete package or as a stand alone service. PIN mailers provide a secure mechanism to distribute PIN codes or other information which needs to be protected from viewing both during production and during transport.
Verisec provides a host of different types of envelopes with different folds and appearance.
The PIN mailer product is designed to be tamper evident, meaning that any attempt by someone other than the intended recipient to retrieve the hidden PIN code in transit will result in visible damage to the mailer.
PIN mailers can also be used for contingency planning in case a bank’s or corporate’s existing authentication solution has been compromised and a temporary authentication infrastructure needs to be put in place within a matter of days. The solution is based on a limited number of printed, valid PIN codes, each one revoked once consumed.
The service is designed to be flexible, allowing for customer specific personalisation, multiple folding options and differing sorting and packing needs. The service is based on a layered security approach whereby the customer can weigh the cost of the service with the value to be protected.
The service is highly scalable and is therefore able to cater to peaks in our customers’ PIN mailer demand.
Verisec can set up a secure communications channel with the customer in order to ensure confidentiality of PIN data which is communicated over the Internet. Verisec’s PIN mailer application can also generate high quality random PIN codes on behalf of the customer.
