Svenska Försäkringsfabriken chooses Freja eID Press release Published 28 June, 2017 The IT security company Verisec today announced an agreement with Svenska Försäkringsfabriken AB (Swedish Insurance Factory) regarding the integration of the electronic ID Freja eID. Svenska Försäkringsfabriken provides IT solutions for banks and insurance companies, and will offer its customers to provide Freja eID as an option its end users. Digitalisation in the banking and insurance industry increasingly requires end users to identify themselves in a safer and more user-friendly way than with usernames and passwords. To allow end-users to use an e-ID means that service providers do not need their own ID management systems, nor need to add resources to the identity vetting of users. Freja eID will now be an option that Svenska Försäkringsfabriken will offer its customers in order for end users to easily log in and sign digitally in various services. Mikael Elf, CEO Svenska Försäkringsfabriken, comments: “As the password is on its way out, it is a necessity that we offer our customers to integrate with an e-ID. The fact that there is now an alternative to BankID is in our opinion very positive as Freja eID offers other functionality and several business models, something we believe our customers will demand. And I also believe that it is most likely that most of our customers will offer their end users more than one login option.“ Johan Henrikson, CEO Verisec, comments: “Thanks to the agreement with Svenska Försäkringsfabriken, we are getting channel into a large number of organisations that between them have the whole of Sweden’s adult population as a user base. In our quest to quickly build Freja eID to become a broad service with many users, this is of course a very valuable contract.” For more information, please contact: Mikael Elf, CEO Svenska Försäkringsfabriken AB Phone: +46 70 543 69 20 e-mail: email@example.com Johan Henrikson, CEO Verisec Phone: +46 733-45 89 02 e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org Press release in PDF.
