Verisec signs agreement with Latin American development banking institution

Press release

IT security company Verisec announces today that it has signed an agreement with a national development bank in Latin America. The agreement relates to Verisec’s digital identity management technology and includes a number of products in the ID platform Freja, and will be used to secure data access and provide smoother logins and electronic signatures for the bank’s customers.

The development bank works for the modernization and development of regional industry and is under the supervision of the national government. The bank will use the Freja platform primarily for customers, which initially is about 2 000 users. In a next step, when more customers and possibly also the bank’s employees are included, there may be up to 10 000 users in the system. The deal has been made by Verisec’s Latin American office, located in Mexico.

Johan Henrikson, CEO Verisec, comments:
“With the multinational bank BBVA’s various branches in Latin America as customers and most recently the niche bank ABC Capital, we now have – with a highly regarded development bank – a wide range of reference customers in the financial sector in Latin America. The region has great potential and many industries are now taking great steps towards digitalisation, which, with our references and product portfolio, opens up many new business opportunities.”
